Ecclestone elogió a Hitler y avaló las dictaduras
El británico Bernie Ecclestone, máximo dirigente de la Fórmula 1, elogió al dictador alemán Adolf Hitler, de quien dijo que “era capaz de llevar a cabo las cosas”. Aunque reconoció que “al final perdió la orientación”
“En muchos sentidos, y supongo que es terrible decir esto, pero aparte del hecho de que Hitler se dejó llevar y fue convencido de hacer cosas que no tengo idea si quería hacer o no, él podía mandar a muchas personas y conseguía que las cosas se hicieran”, dijo Ecclestone en declaraciones al diario The Times de Inglaterra.
Y siguió: “No fue un buen dictador, porque o tenía todas esas cosas y sabía lo que pasaba e insistió, o sencillamente estaba de acuerdo…”.
Además, el dueño de los derechos comerciales de la máxima competición automovilística expresó también su desconfianza hacia la democracia. “No ha hecho tanto bien en muchos países, incluyendo éste (Inglaterra). Los políticos están demasiado preocupados por las elecciones”, dijo el británico de 78 años.
Y se mostró a favor por los regímenes totalitarios en algunos países. “Hicimos algo terrible cuando apoyamos la idea de deshacernos de Saddam Hussein. El era el único que podía controlar ese país. Fue lo mismo. Nos metemos en países y no tenemos ni idea de su cultura”.
En ese sentido, el multimillonario dirigente aseguró que prefiere los “líderes fuertes” como la ex primer ministra británica Margaret Thatcher. “Tomó decisiones y llevó a cabo el trabajo. Fue quien levantó poco a poco el país. Ahora lo hemos dejado caer de nuevo. Todos estos tipos, Gordon (Brown) y Tony (Blair), están intentando agradar a todo el mundo todo el tiempo”.
